**What are the Record Years? **
The Record Years is a grassroots movement that, without a record label or booking company behind it, has successfully managed to spread its gospel through the jungle drum. Listening to Rekordåren is about letting yourself travel across genres, between influences from Swedish show, blues, progg and jazz. Sometimes the music brings to mind Mando Diao or The Great Rest, in other moments JJ lies. Cale or the country aesthetic closer to your fingertips. A common thread is found in the Swedish lyrics, which are interspersed with instrumental playfulness and improvisation.
RECORD YEAR TOUR 2025
The facts of spring bear witness to new milestones. The Kåltorpsband has released a number of
appreciated singles, arranged a packed full evening at home festival Musikens Hus in Gothenburg and been named in GAFFA as “one of the most interesting bands on the Swedish indie scene right now”. But there is still the big highlight of the year - the summer tour. The tour bus arrives loaded with five happy musicians, old and new songs and a large portion of jam hunger. Well met in the summer evening - in the pub, in the city - at the port or cold baths.
